FUJIFILM GFX 100S: Capture One Tethering with 3rd-Party Lenses

Capture One Tethered Capture Control with 3rd-Party Lenses
A great many of our clients have paired their GFX cameras with third-party lenses as well as transforming their fixed lens camera into the capture device for view cameras like the Cambo Actus GFX or the new Actus MV.

Very typically, these cameras are being used in a tethered environment and as it turns out, there is a seemingly unrelated switch on the body that has profound impact to your ability to shoot your GFX-series camera without a factory GF lens attached while tethered.

The Solution
While shooting from the camera grip is untroubled, the three-position autofocus switch on the back of the camera must be set to Manual and not Single or Continuous in order to fire the camera remotely from Capture One.

If your GFX-series camera refuses to fire from Capture One, this simple switch throw may be the fix!
