 Holger Shares Details About The Project

South East Florida Style and Design, launched a brand-new 400+ pages interior design and art-magazine that will be published nationwide in airports, Barnes & Nobles, select grocery store chains -and, of course, all over South East Florida!
I shot the cover, three… 14-page home-features, numerous editorial 3-page articles and featured photos for advertisers.
The images supplied are from two condos that I shot, one on Fisher Island in Miami (Sofia Joelsson Design) and the other one on South Beach Miami at the new Oceana Tower (Fede Design).
I spent two weeks shooting the images traveling from Miami, up to Palm Beach and across to Naples and Captiva Island.

Shooting Under Pressure…

The photoshoots are challenging because – due to travel schedules – there is no time to scout locations ahead of time. I have to decide on the go to choose the perfect time and light for each shot. 14-page home-features have to be accomplished in roughly 6-7 hours. Weather can be a big factor. I don’t have much wiggle room in my calendar due to production deadlines and travel schedules to move shooting days last minute. Excellent equipment and a flawless workflow are mandatory for fast results without compromising any quality. The stakes for a new publication are high and there is only one chance to make a first impression.

I used for all shoots my PhaseOne IQ3 100mp Trichromatic mounted on a Cambo Widebody RS with Rodenstock 23mm f/5.6 HR Digaron-S, Rodenstock 40mm f/4.0 HR Digaron-W and Rodenstock 90mm f/5.6 HR Digaron-S/W lenses on a Induro carbon-fiber tripod with an Arca Swiss Cube gear-head
